Literally translated as cooperative living or symbiosis, Ryuzaburo Kaku, Chairman of Canon Inc. – popularized the use of the term to mean “living and working together for the common good” in reference to the idea that long-term business success is predicated upon a respect for the interconnectedness any business has with people, communities and the environment.
