General information

In 1962, Albert Verstraete purchased the Feed Mill known then as Clover Bar Machinery Industries Ltd. on Yellowhead Trail NE. Albert moved his family into Ardrossan and began producing and buying feed locally. From the very beginning, this company was part of the community and offered excellent service to its customers.

The mill soon became a place where farmers not only came to drop off their grains and/ or pick up their feed but to grab a coffee and chat with Albert and the boys. Thirty three years later and after two fires the Feed mill was no more. With the boys taking over Clover Bar Machinery Industries, it became a feed store. The company continued to sell the same great line of products and offered the same great service.

The Verstraete family owned and operated Silver Wheel Turkey Farm and Clover Bar Poultry until 2005. They raised cattle, chickens and pigs on the family farm. Don has a wealth of experience and knowledge to help you with any questions you may have and over 4500 square feet of products to serve your needs.

Come in and see Don Verstraete and his staff, grab a cup of coffee and discuss with them any concerns or questions you may have. And yes, every once and while you can still find Albert behind the counter.
