I know what it’s like to feel lost and trapped in your own life. I’ve been there. Now, I ded­i­cate my life to help­ing oth­ers find the answers they need to live life to the fullest.

My name is Karen Laskey. I am a ther­a­pist, Reg­is­tered Pro­fes­sional Coun­cil­lor (RPT) and Clin­i­cal Hyp­nother­a­pist (CHt). These dif­fer­ent des­ig­na­tions, when com­bined with my inner resources, allow me to help clients on what­ever level works best for them.

It wasn’t always this way. There was a time I didn’t know how to use my skills.

For many years I strug­gled to under­stand my life’s pur­pose. I had an intu­ition and abil­ity to con­nect deeply with oth­ers but I was trapped in the world’s view of who I was and what I should be doing. Plus, I had my own emo­tional scars that needed healing.

When I real­ized how out of sync I was with my dreams, I gath­ered my courage and worked on a cruise ship until I fig­ured out what I wanted to be when I ‘grew up’. I spent this time teach­ing fit­ness classes as this was my pas­sion at the time. From there, I spent five years tak­ing courses, earn­ing my RPT and CHt des­ig­na­tions and ulti­mately cre­at­ing Laskey Coun­selling and Hypnotherapy.

Some indi­vid­u­als make the change they need through talk-based ther­apy; oth­ers find their way through hyp­no­sis or other tech­niques. There is no right, or wrong way. It’s up to you to sense what works, but you are never alone. I love work­ing with those who want to release what is hold­ing them back. I pro­vide a safe space to work together com­pas­sion­ately as equals on the jour­ney of mak­ing your life what it was meant to be.
