Newfoundland Herald The Company Information
General information
On May 12, 1946, The Sunday Herald made its debut, selling 10,000 copies in just two hours. The rest, as they say, is history. For the first five years of The Herald's existence, it was practically a one man show. Geoffrey William Stirling wrote The Herald from cover to cover, sold the advertising, printed it, and even did door-to-door deliveries. More than 65 years later The Herald is still on newstands and in households all across the province, making it Newfoundland's #1 Magazine.
