Arthur James Coleman came to Corner Brook in 1934. During that year, A.J and his wife established their first retail outlet based on personalized service and value oriented pricing. He believed that business should be conducted in an honest and honorable way, a philosophy that contributed greatly to the success of the Coleman’s Group of Companies.

The philosophy has continued with the Arthur James stores with three locations, one in Corner Brook, NL, one in Deer Lake, NL, and one in Mount Pearl, NL.
