Peterborough City and County hosts many seasonal festivals all year long, from Polar Fest in Selwyn Township and the Under the Lock Hockey Tournament on the Canal in the winter months to the free Music Fest concert series at Del Crary Park, Havelock Country Jamboree and Camping Festival, fishing on the 130 lake and the Lakefield Literary Festival in the summer months, just to name a few. Plus, there is a year round Farmer’s Market, Lang Pioneer Village, Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park, Indian River Reptile Zoo, the free Riverview Park and Zoo and a Country Fair in most Townships over the summer and fall for family friendly activities.
