This typical Portuguese rotisserie – the first in Montreal – exists since 1970 and serves savoury meats smeared with a mix of typical Portuguese spices. It is a family business whose intention is to offer good home cooking to its clients. Coco Rico is particularly known for its delicious and juicy barbecue chicken! It is especially tasty when served with potatoes which were cooked with the poultry. Of course, chicken is not the only meat which can be found at Coco Rico; the restaurant also specializes in rabbit, turkey, porc, lamb and spares ribs. Although it is mainly popular for takeout, the restaurant nevertheless has a counter for those who want to soak up the atmosphere. Coco Rico offers a choice of meats sold by weight, whole chickens, sandwiches, potatoes and salads. The service is quick, the dishes are fresh and it is really not expensive – a combo dish costs less than $10!
