Larry Borins Counselling Services

General information

Larry Borins, MSW, RSW holds a Masters degree from Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University with a specialization in mental health. Larry has provided individual, family and couples psychotherapy to clients in outpatient hospitals, the private practice healthcare sector and community service settings.

Trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based interventions, family therapy and emotionally focused couples therapy, Larry helps clients with depression, anxiety and relationship challenges address cycles of negative emotions, identify psychological patterns and explore new options for positive change. Larry believes that more choices become available with purposeful attention and the right guidance.

Larry is the founder of Mind Health Toronto, an interdisciplinary healthcare team focused on making psychological and emotional development work more accessible to the general public. Larry believes that public education is key to lifting the veil around mental health issues.

To that end, Larry facilitates workshops and seminars on the topics of stress reduction, marriage and relationship issues, parenting and technology addiction. Currently he runs a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy group in North Toronto.
