MELLOHAWK Logistics celebrates 10th Anniversary Arnon G. Melo and Peter Hawkins are pleased to announce that MELLOHAWK Logistics Inc. is now celebrating 10 years in business serving customers in Canada, Brazil and around the world. Arriving in Canada as an immigrant over 20 years ago Arnon G. Melo studied International Business and Logistics at Seneca College and earned his stripes working for ten years at a German multinational before going out on his own and establishing his own company with partner Peter Hawkins. Slowly but surely MELLOHAWK grew and now employs 10 people from 6 countries and represents more than 60 agents around the world. The past decade has been full of successes including winning Scotiabank's Small Business Big Impact Challenge for Leadership, being short-listed for the Toronto Region Immigration Economic Council Immigrant Success award, and twice winning the Canadian International Freight Forwarding Association (CIFFA) Young Freight Forwarder of the Year. Both Melo and Hawkins have been celebrated as entrepreneurs and as philanthropists sponsoring community events in all cultures and donating to a variety of charities, as well as providing mentorship guidance to newcomers and students seeking a career in logistics.
