The team of the award-wining Cassis Bistro has taken over the space next to them to create Calgary's very first French market.
The Little French Market proudly features specialty products from France, fine foods, fresh pastries, l'epicerie, cheese, meals to takeaway, local produce and local food vendors. It also hosts pop-up shops by some of Calgary's favourite boutiques.
The Little French Market completes Calgary's French Quarter, a culinary town square comprised of the award-winning Cassis Bistro, J. Webb wines, and the Vélo Café, a popular hub for the city's cyclists.
According to co-owner Gilles Brassart:
"Markets like ours are not only a great way for the community to connect but also support local and international small merchants by putting their specialty merchandise front and center. In France, I grew up going to markets like this one and I'm delighted to bring the authentic French market experience here to Calgary”
