Welcome to The Kane Centre for Counselling and Consultation, formerly known as Grace Counselling Services!

Chances are you are visiting this site in search of help during a time of need. You may be suffering from anxiety or depression, or a specific trauma. Perhaps you have lost a loved one or are facing major life decisions. You may be struggling in your marriage, at work, with parenting or other family issues. The Kane Centre offers you counselling by a highly trained and experienced Marriage and Family Therapist or “MFT”. Uniquely recognized as “relationship specialists”, MFTs weave together various models of research-based therapies in a way that best suits your specific counselling needs.

Whether an individual, a couple, or a family, we put the focus on the relationship between you and others, and on viewing problems in context. Special attention is given to your unique experience of yourself in the world as we address the problems and challenges that you are facing.

As you explore your options, you may be wondering “How do I know I have the right counsellor for me?”. The answer may be simpler than you think. Although there are many types of counsellors with various training backgrounds, research shows that the most important predictor of satisfaction is the nature of the therapeutic connection between you and your counsellor. Knowing your counsellor has special knowledge for your specific needs is also important.
