Dr. Michael Ellery, Psychologist, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0W8, I offer dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), which is a kind of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for mood, anxiety, anger, addictions, relationships, trauma and other problems with thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I value compassion, non-judgement, collaboration, privacy, education, and informed choice in my work. I also value personal responsibility and teach people skills to help them meet the goals they bring to therapy. Prior to working in private practice, I was on faculty at the University of Manitoba, training therapists in evidence-based practices. The therapy I offer often integrates dialectical philosophy, Zen practice, and the science of learning and behaviour change.
